stella hambly is an accessory designer and leather craftsperson based out of texas and new york. she studied at the savannah college of art and design to receive her Bachelors of Arts in accessory design. in college she focused in footwear, where she studied the design & craft of shoes. Stella designs to convey her personal narrative and tell stories. originating in texas, Stella feels a connection to leather and leatherwork relating to traditional western bootmaking. she uses this intrinsic trait to apply to her contemporary designs. she has developed a passion for the medium of leather and the capabilities, therefore she explores manipulations of leather through her footwear and handbag designs.
